The KMA Force Level 1 Instructor Certification is designed for Krav Maga Alliance coaches and affiliates who want to teach, implement, and manage a professional Force program for law enforcement, military, and security professionals.
This course goes beyond technique review. The focus is on teaching methodology, principles-based instruction, and reality-based training, ensuring instructors can confidently deliver Force material in a way that is practical, defensible, and effective under real-world conditions

Affiliates looking to add or grow a Force / LE training program
Coaches who already understand the techniques and want to refine how they teach and apply them
During the certification, attendees will:
Refine Level 1 Force techniques through coached application
Learn the KMA Force teaching template and methodology
Build lesson plans and drills suitable for law enforcement environments
Practice scenario-based and reality-based training
Learn how to communicate effectively with officers and professional end users
Understand use-of-force considerations and arrest/control principles
The course includes instruction and evaluation in areas such as:
Striking fundamentals and defensive movement
Clinch work, takedowns, and ground control
Handgun and knife defenses
Weapon retention (holstered and deployed)
Arrest and control procedures
Use-of-force decision making
Mock teaching and instructor evaluations
Physical and teaching proficiency testing
To attend, participants must:
Be a Krav Maga Alliance instructor
Hold a KMA Level 1 Instructor Certification
Have a solid understanding of Krav Maga techniques, including weapon defenses (Level 4 and above)
Arrive ready to train, teach, and be coached
Successful completion of all physical and teaching evaluations
OC exposure (completed prior to or during the course)
TASER exposure (completed prior to or during the course) Note: Exposure requirements may only be waived by a KMA Force Training Team member
Recertification required every 2 years
Attendees are responsible for bringing the following:
Utility / BDU-style pants
Sturdy belt (duty-style recommended)
Holster (rigid material)
Handcuffs and key
Training handgun (blue gun or equivalent)
Comfortable training shoes or boots
Change of clothes for exposures
This course is physically and mentally demanding. Participants should disclose any injuries or medical concerns prior to training. Safety, professionalism, and respect for training partners are mandatory throughout the certification
